The Pialligo Bakesmith

Came early but the place was already full! By the time my coffee was cold, the food finally arrived. Came to check out the pastries and I must say the Cinnamon buns were no different than any others but well presented. The Ratatouille was really good though!

The cinnamon bun was delicious. It wasn’t dry and tasteless like every other one I have tried. Going first thing in the morning is probably a good idea when they are fresh.

Absolutely love you guys! We are here often and have never once been disappointed. Lovely staff, amazing food. I recommend this place to literally every person I meet. It is often busy on weekends, which is great. Love to see support for local businesses. Definitely worth booking if you're coming with a group.

Went based on a recommendation of having the best croissant in Canberra - not knowing how popular it is. If you go with any more than two people on the weekend it's best you get a booking, the staff will do their very best to accommodate but there might be a wait for tables to turn over. Overall the food was good, but on the pricey side. There are plenty of pastries, both in quantity and variety so don't feel the need to be there at open (unless you prefer them still warm)

Two of us went for a lunch on a Thursday and it was not too crowded. There was also plenty of off-road parking in a number of carparks around the little complex it is located in. A number of tables filled up while we there but there was still plenty of space. We sat outdoors, which was a wonderful choice given the lovely weather. We had a shade cloth over us and there were other tables in the sun if wanted. The service was friendly and efficient, and most importantly, the food was delicious. I had the ratatouille, my first time, so I can't compare it but it tasted wonderful to me. We also shared some light and fluffy focaccia. I also enjoyed my espresso, as well as the frangipani tart. The whole dining experience was wonderful and we will certainly be back. I would definitely recommend the Pialligo Bakesmith, especially for nice weather when you can sit outside. I suspect that it may get busy on weekends but that Thursday it was just the right amount of busy. Truly wonderful.

We had breakfast. Great staff, and breakfast food a cut above. Excellent coffee. I had the Eggs and smoked salmon (Hollandaise on the side as per my request). Yum.

Heard a lot about this spot and can confirm it matched what people were saying. Very professional friendly staff and a great little venue with plenty of seating and space. We had a huge double pram for our twins but they made sure to accommodate for us which was so nice. Food was cracker and highly recommended.
